VILLARS PALACE
Share
As part of the second edition of Rencontres Artistiques Romandes, four of my works were presented for one month at Villars Palace.
This group exhibition took place within a dedicated exhibition space of Villars Palace, an emblematic site in the Swiss Alps that regularly hosts cultural events alongside its hotel activity. Open to both hotel visitors and the general public, the show offered a clear and accessible introduction to contemporary artistic practices in a non-gallery setting.

The Exhibition
The presentation featured four paintings from my A Small World series:
-
#1 M & M
-
#97 K
-
#86 M & L
-
#76 T
Each work is built around instantly recognizable imagery, simplified to its essential visual elements. The series focuses on visual memory and recognition, offering viewers a new reading of familiar icons through minimal composition.
“By reducing familiar icons to their essential elements, the work invites recognition before interpretation.”
Exhibition Context
Installed in the Salle des expositions, the works were presented in a structured exhibition format, allowing visitors to engage with the paintings in a focused environment. The show formed part of a broader initiative to integrate contemporary art into established cultural and architectural settings.
This exhibition at Villars Palace serves as a documented milestone in the ongoing presentation of my work in public and institutional contexts.

“Placed outside the traditional gallery space, the exhibition allows contemporary art to meet viewers in a direct, unfiltered way."
